FAN-GIRL FRIDAY (2)

Hello!

Now, before you think I've gone mad - I AM aware it's no longer Friday and so I should probably stop living in the past but I was just soooooo tired. At least it's half term aye :) Here's the post I should have published yesterday enjoy...

Above I've painted my nails ' No7 Golden Crunch 533'. As it's known darker colours for the winter, this nail varnish does just that but has glitter in it which gives it a really lovely touch. I bought it from Boots for about £4.99 and I haven't regretted it since!

I wasn't expecting to do another post until tomorrow, but i checked my blog about 10 minutes ago, to see i have been nominated by the lovely http://theilyxx.blogspot.co.uk/ (go check her out)! Must i add it was such a moment and a half when i saw this, just to know there are people reading and appreciating your blog and the posts you put up, awwh :) So anyways, lets get cracking...

1. At what time of the day do you feel the most beautiful?
I don't ever feel 'beautiful' if i'm honest ( prepares for comments such as 'attention whoreeeee') but seriously I don't. I suppose I feel my best when I know I've done something which will bring happiness to others. (cheesy I know)

2. What's the most rewarding thing you've ever done for yourself?
Ummm... Run a bubble bath&kick back with a nice hot chocolate; tends to do the trick ;)

3. Best experience you've had that's blogging-related?
I haven't been blogging for long, but logging on to check i've gained followers and seeing comments appear makes it so worthwhile and it generally does make me so happy to know people are interested in my little space on the internet. Also, being nominated for this was such a cute moment for me haha.

4. How do you unwind after a long day?

Same answer for this as the previous question, bubble bath&hot chocolate, it's just becoming routine... I love it!


5. What are some of your inspirations when it comes to writing?
Whatever i'm feeling at the time, it's usually something i look at and just get that rush! (not like that!)

6. What's the most awkward situation you've had lately?
Omg, so if you know me personally, you've know i just LOVE karaoke...There i was home alone thinking no one could hear, belting out the high notes, rifts, runs and everything... Only to see i had accidently rung someone for the whole duration... so embarrassing hahahahahaha.

7. Where's the most awesome place you've ever been to?
I'd say London, it's just full of such a wide diverse of people, everyone's different and such a variety of things to do...I don't mind the shops either!

8. Would you rather take pictures, or be photographed?
Take pictures... Unless you want a photograph of a covered up face :)

9. If the zombie apocalypse is upon us, what would be your choice of weaponry?
This is slightly strange haha. Ummm... I couldn't, i'd just feel too bad it's not in my nature to cause harm to somebody.


10.  If there is one clothing item that you would have to use daily for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
BLACK DISCO PANTS OR LEGGINGS I DON'T KNOW, THEY ARE JUST THE MOST COMFIEST THINGS EVER CREATED I COULD LIVE IN THEM FOREVER AND EVER OK OVER AND OUT,BYE.

FAN-GIRL FRIDAY

Hello beautiful!

So this is a new post i'm going to start doing, hopefully every Friday. Basically, as you can work out from the title it's called 'Fan-girl Friday'. I will be sharing posts with you about anything I've been obsessing over in the previous week. Lets get started shall we :)

Max factor masterpiece max. OK, I recommend this 10000000000%!!! It's such a long wearing mascara which is a bonus and makes your eyelashes appear so long. It gives me a false eyelash effect which leaves me lost for words.

NAILS,NAILS,NAILS

Hello there!

So above is a recent picture of my NATURAL nails! (I kid you not)

So, almost everywhere I go I get people asking me "are your nails fake?!" "omg how do you get your nails so long,mine always break!" So here is a blog post to reveal my secrets to healthy, strong long nails :)

A healthy diet isn't that important (don't bite my head off i'm just saying it works for me as i live on pizza but still have healthy nails). But, a glass of milk every now and then really does help and encourage stronger nails! I also take a vitamin tablet every now and then ( basically when i dont forget ) and it literally does work a treat for my nails. My final tip is, when growing your nails, it's sooooo annoying when you've waited several weeks and you're really proud but then you get a nail caught and it chips off your nail, so, to avoid this ever so slightly round off the edges of your nails.

WISH-LIST

Hey hey!

So the winter months are approaching and I thought i'd dedicate a whole post to my wish list as these are things I've been craving a while now and might just have to purchase! I really want to share them with you and get your opinion so here goes...x

Brown low top Timberlands, these are literally the most beautiful things I have seen! Seriously need to get a pair.

Ok so since seeing a Collared dress on one of my teachers, my love for them has been restored and I sense i will be purchasing many in the next few months.

Last but not least, I really crave a deep plum coloured lipstick, if anyone can recommend one to me I will be delighted!

SEPTEMBER FAVOURITES

To finish off the month, what better than a September favourites!

These frilly socks I've just been OBSESSED with, they are the cutest thing!

Sugar nails!  wow-eyyyyy! I find this look different and very cute, if you want to give it a go, then look at my last post for a tutorial!

SUGAR NAILS

Hello there!

Sorry it's been a while since my last post, I've just been mega busy! Thank-you to my new followers I should have followed you back, if not, let me know!

So above is a picture of my super cute sugar nails I did last-night. I really love this as it looks like you've had them done professionally and it took a lot of time&effort!

1) Start off painting your nails any colour you wish :) You can be creative and attempt a nail art or whatever you fancy ( I really fancy a McDonalds breakfast omg, but anywaaaaays ).

2) Make sure your nail varnish hasn't dried else your sugar wont stick! Roll your nail one by one in sugar ( it's really that easy)

3) This part is optional, but for extra texture and the false nail effect, re paint your nails over the top of your sugar, and roll it again in sugar.

SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND

Heeeeeeeey there!

If you're a bit like me then you probably watch some of the girls on TV and admire and deeply envy their perfect glow-y skin! :( (If you're not like me then,well,this is a-bit awkward...read on anyway (: )

Well, It doesn't cost a fortune to add that healthy glow to your dull skin, below is two products that I use that I love,love,LOVE ; and thought I should share them with you.

Both are Garnier products from the Moisture match section. To the left I use for the drier parts of my face, or if i'm tired I apply a small amount under my eyes and instantly appears i've had 10 hours sleep ( it's perfect really! ). But, before all that, I apply a generous amount of the one on the right all over my face. It really tones your face, making it look more radient and even. Instantly you will feel your face is much smoother and you will not stop touching it... (wow sounds a tad dirty but whatever ). It contains lemon extracts so not only will your skin feel, and look perfect, it will smell soooo lush seriously.

Both can be bought in any drugstore or online (: Not too pricey, about £5.00 each roughly I paid for mine.

September already woaaaaah steady with the months! Time is passing so fast don't you think?! So why waste your life?

Which is SO true, so got a problem? Don't waste time crying over it, focus on ways to solve it and move on, life's too short. Live each day with laughter and keep those who make you happy close to you.
Make plans, set goals and have rewards :)
Even if you don't succeed, it's better to try and fail than to not try at all, what is there to lose?

What are you up to today then? I'm just about to go shopping for some running shoes after having 1 or 2 of these beauties... How ironic ;)

HAIR STORY (PART 1)

Hello!

Sorry it's been a while since my last post but I've been busy decorating my room! If you know me personally you will know I have done everything to my hair ( not like that! ) from dying it every colour each week to endless amounts of heat... Safe to say my hair was frazzled (omg I now crave frazzles).

So today I just gathered my courage and decided to get it cut, the final result as you can see it's so shiny and feels AMAZING! I am trying to grow my hair and feel it will grow quicker this way as it will be stronger. Each month I shall post an update on my hair length followed by tips in order to keep hair healthy and what vitamins I take to enhance hair growth.

GET CREATIVE (NAILS)

WANT TO KNOW HOW TO ACHIEVE THIS CUTE LOOK?

First, choose two of your favourite nail varnishes I chose these two,

(Left, I just found in a set I received on Christmas or something. Right, Rimmel London, lasting finish, 060 hot & spicy - £2.99 from any drug store)

Begin by painting your nails with whatever of the two nail varnishes you've picked to be the base colour.

Then, start from the top on either of the top left or top right corners, which ever is easiest and paint a line (the width of the brush) up-wards to the center halfway on the top of your nail. Then, you guessed it, do the same on the other corner of the nail and do a line till it meets the other line in the middle and BAM, you have it. Repeat the process on all nails, and if you have a clear nail varnish (optional) finish it with a coat of that to give it that glossy finish!

OOTD

OUTFIT OF THE DAY

So today I decided on going for the casual dressy image - along side with that I felt rather creative. So, I found my black body-con dress from Jane Norman - £28.00. That alone looked FAR too dressy considering i'm having a chilled day so I found my brown loose top which was £12.00 from Newlook. I then folded the sleeves from my dress up until it tucks into my top and completes the look I was going for and actually looked quite cute. After all this i'll probably just go in the bath and get changed into pj's & watch films, oops.

When did you first start wearing make-up?

 I'd say when I was 12, but only then it would be mascara and some off colour lipgloss - make-up wasn't really an interest at that age.

When did you have your first crush(name)?

LIKE 4 OMG LOOL, I WAS CONVINCED GARETH GATES WAS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE AND HE LOVED ME BACK HE JUST DIDN'T KNOW IT YET. I CRIED SO MUCH WHEN MY MUM TOLD ME HE WAS GETTING MARRIED :(

WHAT'S IN MY BAG?

It's the furthest away but you're sat there thinking 'ayeeeeee, Nandos loyalty card? She fo'real?' Well yes. Wherever I go,so does my Nandos card, you're laughing now but next time I visit I get a free half chicken,yeah you heard... WHO'S LAUGHING NOW. (Go meee!) - Can be found..Well..At Nandos,lol.

Another item that you will find somewhere in my bag is money, because you just never know when you might find a beauty product that makes you just 'AHHHH', but you have to turn away because you don't have any money on you.  - You can't have mine i'm afraid so you'll have to earn your own.

Also my Shea butter body lotion, that you will either find splattered EVERYWHERE in my bag (don't you just hate when that happens), or nicely compact in it's packaging as it should be. I just LOVE this product, it moisturises the deeper layers of your skin,and smells just mmmmmm, like I find myself licking my skin afterwards to then realise it doesn't taste half as good as it smells :( - Can be bought in 'The Body shop'.

Finally, my vaseline and my impulse, these two are good for topping up during the day. Vaseline to treat my lips as they get VERY dry during the day. And my Impulse has the sweetest scent, it's called 'Sweet smile',aw.. :)     -Both can be bought in any drugstore.

RANT OF THE DAY

This blog isn't a particular subject so with having the freedom to post whatever I wish on my space on the internet I thought i'd have a little rant as it's about something that really, REALLY gets on my wits...

As i'm half black,half white (mixed race) I don't fit under just one of those, i.e either black or white... You may or may not have heard ' too black for your white friends, too white for your black friends '. So I lie quite nicely in the middle - I don't really mind that. As of that, I appear rather tanned... But, in my opinion, I really don't see how it's fine with all the 'woaaah,you're wearing so much fake tan' 'you're so brown omg', when i'm not wearing any,it's my natural colour, and brown and orange are different colours. It wouldn't be acceptable if I just went up to a fully white person and said, ' OMG HAVE YOU BLEACHED YOUR SKIN OR SOMETHING ' 'WOAH STEADY WITH THE BLEACHING OF THE SKIN 'YOU'RE SO WHITE''... See, I thought not. They'd probably cry and feel humiliated.

To summaries, whatever your colour - it's a blessing. Be proud of your colour, and don't be so ignorant! Not everyone has to be either black or white... And be careful what you say so you don't make an individual feel an outcast if they're not the same colour as you.

PUT DOWN THE STRAIGHTENERS AND CRACK OPEN THE EGG

EGG HAIR MASK

To restore strength in your hair after using heat, you're going to think i'm crazy but have you ever tried an egg hair mask? It's full of proteins which will strengthen your hair! I have done it at least once a month and it really does make a difference. Below I will instruct you on what to do.

1) Depending on hair length, crack open 1-2 eggs and mix them together.
2) If you have any almond oil, or argan oil add a tea spoon of that to give it that shine.
3) Apply it to your hair, focusing mainly on the ends of your hair as that's the weakest and most damaged part of your hair.
4) A plastic bag over your hair ( not head, I know no pain no gain but seriously, I wouldn't go as far as killing myself for healthy hair ) secure it with a hair band at the top. This keeps the hair warm and absorbs the egg better.
5) The longer you leave it on your hair the better, a minimum of 25 minutes is recommended.
6) Finally rinse the egg out of your hair with lukewarm water ONLY as you don't want scrambled egg in your hair do you? I think not.
7) After this wash your hair as normal.

This method works for ALL hair types, results show clearer the more times you carry out this method.

AUGUST FAVOURITE

So here we are in the middle of August! This year has flown by for sure. Last week I went shopping with a close friend of mine and found this beauty, IN MY SIZE! I find it challenging finding clothes in my size as i'm a size 6 and shops prefer to get more stock in at larger sizes. But, even better it happened to be in the sale so it didn't hurt my purse!
It's a pale pink bodycon dress which depending on which shoes and accessories you choose to wear it with, can be worn in any occasion. I haven't worn it out yet but it's still a favourite of mine;)
